The University of Canberra’s mission is to provide the highest level of professional undergraduate and postgraduate education in Australia.
It educates students for approximately 30 different professions, among them information technology, management, law, accounting, engineering, teaching, modern languages, marketing, journalism, design, architecture, biomedical science, psychology, nursing, environmental science and sports studies. UC has one of the highest employment rates for graduates in Australia.
The University currently has enrolled approximately 10,000 students from some 90 countries. Its main source of international students is the Asia-Pacific region, but students also come to UC from Africa, North and South America, the Middle East and Europe.
About 60 percent of the current student population is aged under 25 years, and 55 percent of the enrolments are women. Approximately 37 per cent study part-time, while around 20 percent are enrolled in postgraduate courses.
